Shaka Nynya

Modern interpretations of the Lotus 7 are two-a-penny these days with the likes of the X-Bow, F400 and to some extent the Atom.  But South Africa is known as the home of the Birkin 7, so it's no surprise that a modern Lotus 7 has evolved there in the shape of the Shaka Nynya.

The spec says it has a 6 l, 405 hp aluminium engine which gives 0-60 mph in 3.7 secs.  Not too shabby.  The car looks good from the front but I'm really not too sure about the rear end.  It's also got some nifty looking pop-up headlamps.

The Shaka's being imported into the USA - if you want one, it'll set you back about $45 000.
