The Mitsuoka Zero 1 is a Japanese version of the Lotus 7 which, regrettably now seems to be out of production.  It's a bit hard to find much information on the car as many of the web pages are in Japanese.  The company did some try something even more idiosyncratic with a microcar version back in 2005 - see pictures in bottom right.
